All-rounder Faheem Ashraf will be rested for the remainder of the one-day international series against Australia, PCB has announced on Sunday.
The decision was taken by the national selection committee, headed by chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, after the consultation with the team management.
Faheem featured in the first two ODIs in Sharjah where he scored 42 runs with an average of 21 and took only one wicket at an average of 95. However, no replacement has been named by the team management yet.
In an ongoing series against Kangaroos, the green shirts currently trail 2-0 in the five-match series after losing their last game by eight wickets.
Pakistan seems helpless as they rested six key players for the series including captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.
The remaining three ODIs of the series will be played in Abu Dhabi (Wednesday) and Dubai (Friday and Sunday).
