Pakistan’s test opener Fakhar Zaman will take a rest from Pakistan’s test series against South Africa following his fitness issues.
Pakistan will play three-match test series against South Africa starting from December 26 at SuperSport Park in Centurion, South Africa.
Zaman struggled during the New Zealand series due to some fitness issues and currently going through rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
According to the PCB’s medical panel, Zaman is yet to get completely fit and will take some more time to participate in any contest.
The panel’s doctor also suggested Zaman take rest for an additional three to four weeks. It is pertinent to mention here that the selection committee is expected to announce the test squad for the South Africa tour in the first week of December.
