Pakistan’s left-handed opening batsman Fakhar Zaman, who is a former sailor of Pakistan Navy, turned 28 years old on April 10th.
Fakhar Zaman shot to fame during Pakistan’s successful Champions Trophy run in 2017. He made his ODI debut against South Africa in an all-important game against South Africa, where he scored handy 31 runs off 23 deliveries that eventually took Pakistan to a win.
There was no looking back for him since then, he scored two consecutive half-centuries against Sri Lanka and England followed by a phenomenal century against India in a nerve-wrenching final of the multi-nation ICC tournament.
He was named Man of the Match for his match-winning inning against the arch-rivals.
Fakhar later proved that he is not a one-match-wonder as he has maintained a healthy average of 45.83 in the 13 ODIs he has played so far with an impressive strike rate of 94.33.
Moreover, he has been an impactful performer for Pakistan in T20Is at the top of the batting order with an average of 22.42 at an aggressive strike rate of 134.76.
He has been an integral part of the top-ranked T20I side and ODI team of Pakistan. Furthermore, he is being considered as an opener for the upcoming Tests against Ireland and England.
