Fan from Karachi used to send me letters through Rashid Latif: Vinod Kambli


Karachi: Former Indian batsman Vinod Kambli has revealed that a fan from Karachi used to send him letters through former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif.

While speaking to a podcast “The Greatest Rivalry”, Kambli shared that the fan had followed him since 1991 when he made his debut.

“I have a fan, who was following my career since I made my debut in 1991. He was from Karachi,” Kambli said.

“He used to send me letters because that time when there were no mobiles, no phone calls so he used to express himself through letters,” he added.

“You won’t believe who used to bring those letters for me, Rashid Latif,” he revealed.

It must be noted here that Kambli played 17 Tests for India and scored 1,084 runs at an average of 54.20. In 104 ODIs, he scored 2,477 runs at an average 32.59.
