KARACHI: Fawad Alam, who has been once again ignored by the selectors despite the incredible record in domestic and international cricket, tweeted that he will be cheering for Pakistan cricket team from home when they will take on Ireland and England.

The 32-year old, who maintains astounding batting averages of 41.66 and 55.37 in three Tests and 145 First Class games he has played, congratulated everyone who made it to the squad and hoped for a win in the upcoming series.

The chief selector of Pakistan cricket team, Inzamam Ul Haq selected five uncapped players for the all-important tour of UK.

“We have tried to strengthen our batting and also considered giving a chance to youngsters [on the tour] as the next World Cup is in England,” said Inzamam while justifying his selection.

Fakhar Zaman, Faheem Ashraf, Imam Ul Haq, Usman Salahuddin and Saad Ali are the five players who got their debut call from the national selectors.

Pakistan will leave for England on April 30th and play a warm-up game against Kent before facing Ireland in their debut Test match.

Afterwards, the Men in Green will play a two-match series against England commencing from May 24th.
