The Federal Areas outclassed Punjab by 101 runs to lift the second consecutive title of the Disabled T20 Pentangular Cup on Friday at NBP Sports Complex.
Jahanzaib Tiwana and Hamza Hameed showed class with the bat as Federal Areas posted 192-3 in 20 overs after they were put into bat first in the final encounter. Tiwana played a magnificent inning of 68 runs off 52 balls with the help of nine boundaries and two maximums.
Hamza smashed 66 runs including five boundaries and three sixes. Mohammad Haris bagged a wicket for Punjab.
In reply, Punjab got bowled out on just 90 runs. Umar Farooq remained the highest scorer for Punjab with 28 runs. Wajid Alam made 12 runs.
Jahanzaib Tiwana and Gohar Ali bagged two wickets each.
The winning team pursued the prize money of Rs 200,000/ while runners-up bagged Rs 100,000/.
Hamza Hameed named as the best batsman of the tournament with 267 runs. Gohar Ali took nine wickets to clinch the best bowler award.
