ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC), Fahmida Mirza said they are consulting with Provincial governments to finalize a single sports policy in the country.
Mirza chaired the fourth meeting of Federal Sports Coordination Committee here on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by sports ministers and secretaries from KPK, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Gilgit/Baltistan.
The meeting discussed a single sports policy and ways to enforce it across the country. The sports policy will enforce sports activities at the district level, school, and college level.
“Government is consulting with all provincial governments to frame a single sports policy in the country. This policy will act as promotion and development of sports in the country,” Mirza said in a statement.
“As soon as we finalize our plan, we will make a public announcement for our sports policy,” she added.
