Tennis’ living legend, Roger Federer topped the list of Forbes’s top ten valuable athletes of 2017, whereas Indian captain Virat Kohli leads Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Basketball icon Stephen Curry.
Forbes released the list of the most valuable athletes of 2017 recently where the Swiss superstar Roger Federer dominated the list with a brand worth of $37.2 million.
The NBA maestro LeBron James is second on the list with $33.4 million, while the lightning bolt, Usain Bolt is placed at the third position with $27 million.
Indian run-machine, Virat Kohli, who recently became the second highest century scorer in the history of ODI cricket, is ranked at seventh, ahead of Rory Mcllroy, Lionel Messi and Stephen Curry, with a value of $14.5 million.
Messi’s fierce competitor, Real Madrid’s striker Cristiano Ronaldo held the fourth spot in the list.
Earlier, Virat Kohli’s teammate and former skipper of India, MS Dhoni featured the list at the fifth spot in 2014.
