FIFA boss accepts invitation to visit Pakistan


The President FIFA, Gianni Infantino has accepted the invitation extended by the President Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Faisal Saleh Hayat to visit Pakistan during their meeting at the headquarters of the FIFA in Zurich on Tuesday.

According to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), the President PFF Faisal Saleh Hayat discussed different issues with Infantino and got his support to solve them.

Infantino in reply ensured the PFF to help them solve all their problems.

“We will work with PFF to flourish the status of football in Pakistan,” he said.

Infantino stressed the importance of Pakistan as an important Football playing nation with enthusiastic fans and some quality players as well as who can accomplish something big for Pakistan in future.

The FIFA boss told Faisal that they would include PFF in their upcoming programs to give Pakistan a new identity in World’s soccer fraternity.

“We will try to add Pakistan in our upcoming activities to provide them an ample opportunity to progress,” Ifantino said.

“We will also try to increase financial support to the PFF.” he added.

Infantino wants the PFF to work hard in order to compete amongst World’s top class sides and to change the culture of football in Pakistan.

“The PFF need to do lots of work to shape the things in a good manner,”

On the other hand, Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat thanked Mr. Infantino for the support during the last three years when the federation was going through serious crises.

FIFA agreed to not only complete the three unfinished Projects including Sukkur, Jacobabad and Khanewal but also to install an artificial pitch at Khanewal.

The FIFA will also send its delegation to Pakistan for conducting several seminars to aware PFF officials about how to work for the betterment of football in the country.

The PFF chief also met the FIFA Secretary General, Fatma Samoura.
