Pakistan hockey team’s participation in the first phase of the Federation for International Hockey’s (FIH) Pro Hockey League is in danger, ARY News reported.
According to the sources, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is still unable to resolve the issue of funds which is creating lots of difficulties for them to arrange foreign tours for the team.
The players’ forms for applying visa are yet to be filled and the process of taking fingerprint is also pending. It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan team has to leave on January 27 for Argentina to play their first match in the Pro Hockey League.
Pakistan will play two matches against Argentina on February 2 and 3. Later, Pakistan have to tour Australia and New Zealand for playing two matches each there.
Pakistan’s squad is currently going through a training camp to prepare themselves for an all-important event.
It merits mentioning here that the FIH is expected to ban the PHF if they fail to send their team for participating in Pro Hockey League.
