‘Fill the stadium as cricket comes home’ Sarfraz asks cricket fans


Sarfraz Ahmed asked the cricket fans in Karachi to fill the historic National stadium as the high-profile cricket action will return to the country.

“It’s a big event and I want every Karachiite to celebrate this extravaganza like a festival,” said Sarfraz on his arrival in Karachi after completing the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) UAE leg.

Sarfraz said that his team’s preparations are on high and they will try to amuse the cricket fans in Pakistan with quality cricket. “We are hopeful to put a great show in front of an excited crowd of Karachi,” he said.

Former cricketer Moin Khan rated the PSL as one of the popular leagues around the world and said that it has given Pakistan’s cricket a unique identity. “PSL is now a brand of Pakistan,” he stated.

Khan said that they are really looking forward to play in front of Karachi’s crowd who was waiting to see cricketing action filled with excitement. “Karachi! We are ready to have some action at National Stadium,” said Khan who is hopeful for a successful stint of PSL.

It is pertinent to mention here that the franchises have started reaching Karachi to participate in PSL’s Pakistan leg. Quetta Gladiators was the first to arrive in Karachi on Wednesday. The foreign players of teams are expected to reach Karachi by Friday.
