‘Five-day cricket should always be around’ – Ben Stokes

England all-rounder Ben Stokes has termed five-day Test cricket as the best format and should always be around after producing heroics in the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town which made him the man of the match.

“This is why five-day cricket should always be around. It’s the best format of the game and it makes cricket and games like these just unforgettable.” Stokes said.

Stokes said that the match will be termed as one of the greats and South Africa will also remember this for a long time.

“We will all remember this for a long time and I’m sure South Africa will remember it for a long time. It will go down as one of the greatest games of this elite format,” He added.

Stokes was once again up in his game scoring 47 and 72 in both the innings respectively. Three wickets he took in the second innings and overall caught six catches.

It must be noted that England won the second Test and level the series 1-1 with the third Test slated to start from 16th January in Port Elizabeth.
