Pakistan’s batting coach, Grant Flower has said that the national team is looking in a better shape after the intense physical training camp in Kakul and conditioning camp in Hampshire.
According to the former Zimbabwean allrounder, fielding is one of the most important aspects of the game and the national side has received a wakeup call when it comes to fielding standards at the international level.
Flower told ESPNCricinfo, “One of the most important things is our fielding and Mickey [Arthur] has placed quite an emphasis on that.”
“And we have got a new fielding coach so we are definitely getting a wake-up call regarding fielding standards,” he added.
The batting coach of Pakistan named Shan Masood as the new player to look out for. He said, “Shan Masood has played a bit against England in the UAE, although he didn’t do that well, but, I think he is on the rise,” he added, “He has a great attitude and I am sure he will be a good player for Pakistan in future.”
Pakistan will take on England in the first of the four-match test series at Lord’s on July 14.
