'Football has been politicized in Pakistan' - Kaleemullah Khan

Former captain of Pakistan Football team Kaleemullah has once again lashed out over the corrupt culture in Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).

While talking to media, Kaleemullah said that Football in Pakistan has been completely politicized.

“Corrupt people have been working in the federation since ages, they should be replaced in order to revive Football in Pakistan,” he said.

The 25-year-old footballer also blamed the Faisal Saleh Hayat who is the Chairman of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), “Faisal Saleh Hayat is injurious to football in the country, he should resign as its been  fifteen years that he is heading the PFF,”

He also claimed that the federation had been receiving the funds but no one knows where all the money is gone, “The federation received funds from FIFA but we don’t have academies, grounds, stadiums or any proper leagues to play in.”

The federation issued a show-cause notice to the most prolific football player of recent times of Pakistan in July, for signing the contract with a Turkish club.

However, sources told that the former skipper preferred the club over national duty, which is why they handed over a show cause notice to him.
