Former cricketers hail Pakistan team’s performance

Lahore: Former test cricketers hailed Pakistan team’s performance in the opening match of ICC World T20 played against Bangladesh.

According to former cricketers the Green Shirts performed well in all the three segments leading them to victory. Now they need to forget the Bangladesh victory and focus on the upcoming match against India. Former captain Muhammad Yousaf said ” victory against Bangladesh is great but the big match lies ahead playing against India and people from both the countries want to see their team win.”

He said, in my opinion winning or losing a game hardly matters, if a team despite performing well still loses, the spectators must support it. Amir Sohail said in the Pak-India match there will be more pressure on the host team. In the recent match against Bangladesh, we saw a change in the batting order. Afridi played at a higher position due to which top order batsman Umar Akmal got bowled on a zero which now makes it even more difficult for him to perform well playing against India. Pakistan team must maintain a positive body language the moment they enter the field.

Mushtaq Ahmad said whenever any player makes a comeback in the team, the captain and the coach play a critical role in rehabilitating his confidence. The way Ahmad Shehzad batted aggressively proving his mettle against the Bengal tigers also reflects the team management efforts, watching him return to his form is a healthy sign.
