Lahore: Former cricketers have welcomed Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) relief package announcement that will help and support first-class cricketers and other stakeholders facing hardships due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
PCB on May 3rd announced that they have set funds from its current fiscal year to help first-class cricketers along with match officials, scorers, and ground staff in these uncertain times.
“The board has made a better decision by announcing a relief package in difficult times,” former left-arm pacer Mohammad Khalil said who represented Pakistan in two Tests and three ODIs.”Match officials and ground staff should be constantly monitored,” he added.
“Our grounds are incomplete without ground staff. It is good to give them relief. I hope that the board officials will resolve the issue of deployment of ground staff soon,” Shahid Nazir said who played 15 Tests and 17 ODIs.
