Gayle confident to return in Lahore-leg of PSL 6

Karachi: Quetta Gladiators’ Chris Gayle is hopeful of visiting Lahore for the second leg of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six as he returns to the West Indies for national duty.

The 41-year-old Gayle will be replaced by South Africa’s Faf du Plessis but the ‘Universe Boss’ is confident that he will return to Pakistan and play at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

“It sad to leave as I wanted to play the full PSL and that was the reason I put my name up [in the draft]. I wanted to give fans something to cheer after I have been to Pakistan after 15 years,” Gayle said.

“I get two games and unfortunately I have to leave for national duty but Lahore is there where the second round will be played. I am looking forward to visit Lahore,” he added.

Note, Karachi is hosting 20 matches of the tournament while Lahore will host last 14 matches including playoffs. The Lahore-leg is scheduled to start from March 10.
