Gladiators eye comeback, Qalandars look to dominate

After losing to Karachi Kings which broke their winning streak, Quetta Gladiators are now strongly looking forward to dominate Lahore Qalandars who will field its men in the ground with a winning mindset.

Gladiators were looking so strong by winning their first four matches of the league but the nightmare against Karachi Kings cost them two crucial points on the points table. A magnificent century by Colin Ingram took Kings over the victory line.

Both the teams look formidable on the paper having balanced bowling and batting combinations. Gladiators have the likes of Shane Watson, Rilee Rossouw, and Umar Akmal in batting who can destroy opponents while on the other hand Fakhar Zaman, AB De Villiers, and David Wiese can lead the Qalandars from the front.

Highest run-scorer of the tournament so far with 200 runs, Umar Akmal is a big threat for Qalandars as the right-handed batsman keeps the ability to hit the ball hard all around the park. Shane Watson will serve as the solid opener for the men in purple.

On the other hand, Fakhar Zaman will add strength to the Qalnandars batting line. He can hit the ball big coming top the order and provide his team a solid opening start. AB De Villiers will serve as the strong batsman for Qalandars in the middle order. His match-winning inning against Multan Sultans helped his team to show some dominance.

In bowling, Gladiators have Sohail Tanvir who knows to take early wickets while Mohammad Husnain will deceive batsmen with his pacy deliveries. Mohammad Nawaz and Fawad Ahmed will spin the deliveries for Gladiators.

Shaheen Shah Afridi will hold the pace battery for Qalandars along with Dabid Wiese and Haris Rauf. Sandeep Lamichhane once again will look to thrash wickets with his deceiving leg-spin.

Both teams will try to turn things for them rightly as the win gives them importance at the points table. Yet another exciting contest awaits PSL’s audience.
