The glittering trophy of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Tuesday was handed over to Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) courier partners TCS who will bring it to Karachi where the much-awaited final is all set to take place on March 17.
The trophy will be unveiled at National Stadium on March 16 by the captains of the two finalists.
PCB’s marketing head Sohaib Sheikh in a presser said that crazy fans in Pakistan can’t wait to see their grounds filled with international stars. “Excitement is at its peak. They [Fans] are waiting to fill in the grounds and celebrate the revival of international cricket,” he said.
The managing director of international TCS Mark Woodcock said that there is a massive interest in the Pakistan leg of the league. “Match tickets are in great demand and hopefully the turn out during matches would be exceptional,” said Woodcock.
A total of eight matches will be played in Pakistan with Karachi hosting five including final while Lahore taking care of three. Karachi Kings will take on Peshawar Zalmi in a high-octane clash to kick off Pakistan leg of the league.
