Hafeez posts ‘forgiveness’ tweet after CPL saga

Lahore: Veteran Pakistan player Mohammad Hafeez posted ‘forgiveness’ tweet after he was called by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) halfway from the Caribbean Premier League.

The 40-year-old returned to Pakistan on September 12 and was expected to do a press conference over PCB’s dual policy.

Hafeez got strict instructions to return whereas Imad Wasim was told to complete commitment with his franchise Jamaica Tallahwahs. As per the reports, this dual policy from PCB made Hafeez angry and had decided to do a presser.

However, it seems like Hafeez has decided to forgive those involved behind this matter. “Forgive people so that perhaps Allah may forgive you,” Hafeez posted on Twitter.

Remember, Hafeez and four other players, part of the T20 squad for New Zealand series will report on September 17. They will start training in Gaddafi Stadium from September 19.

It must be noted that Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host New Zealand for five T20Is from September 25 to October 3.
