Karachi: Hammad Azam and 18-years-old debutant Mubasir Khan rescued Northern against Sindh in the Eighth Round of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
Mubasir scored a century on his First-Class debut and played an important role to save his team from yet another defeat in the tournament. The young batsman scored 164 runs off 241 balls with the help of nine boundaries.
He partnered with Hammad to score 294 runs together as Northern held a draw against Sindh in an exciting last day of the Eighth round at National Stadium Karachi. Hammad made 145 runs off 226 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and two sixes.
Northern were 423-6 when umpires called off the last day and they managed to hold the second position at the pointstable.
Shahnawaz Dhani was the pick of the bowlers for Sindh as the young fast bowler bagged three wickets for 93 runs.
Earlier, Sindh bowled out Northern for 203 after putting up a mammoth total of 514-8 (Dec).
