Karachi: Pakistan’s legendary batsman Hanif Muhammad was declared dead in a private hospital in Karachi but now his son Shoaib Mohammad has confirmed that his father is very much alive and only stopped breathing for a few minutes. Hanif is currently fighting cancer from quite a while and with every passing day his health condition is deteriorating.
Hanif Muhammad played 55 test matches for Pakistan and scored close to 400 runs. He is famously known as the original little master and his world renowned knock of 337 runs against West Indies in Bridgetown in 1957-58. He batted for 970 minutes and defied a strong Windies attack from breaking through. This innings is the longest one in the history of Test cricket.
New Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah had earlier also ordered authorities to release Rs. 1 million for the treatment of former Pakistani batting great, Hanif Mohammad.
Hanif Mohammad is admitted in a private hospital of Karachi due to some respiration issues, he was diagnosed with a lung cancer around three years ago and it has been learned that it might be recurring.
