India’s veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh believed that the former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will not play for India again at the international level.
The 38-year-old Dhoni last played for India in 2019 World Cup semi-final against New Zealand has not even played any club match since then too.
Harbhajan emphasized that the selectors should ask the wicket-keeper batsman whether he wants to play or not.
“It’s up to him. You need to know whether he wants to play for India again,” Harbhajan said in an Instagram live video.
“As far as I know him, he won’t want to wear India’s blue jersey again. IPL he will play, but for India, I think he had decided the (2019) World Cup was his last,” he added.
It must be noted that Dhoni retired from Test cricket in 2014 but was a regular part of India’s white-ball cricket. In ODIs, he has scored 10,773 runs from 350 ODIs.
