Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz to leave for Pakistan today

Jamaica: Fast bowler Haris Rauf and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz will leave for Pakistan today after they were released from the Test squad.

Skipper Babar Azam announced a 19-men squad for first Test on August 11 where he stated that they are concerned about players’ workload, hence they are releasing Haris and Nawaz.

Both players will return leave for Pakistan via London at 8 pm local time. The duo will arrive in Lahore on the night of August 15-16. They will travel to their home city Rawalpindi from Lahore.

It must be noted that Haris Rauf played three ODIs and two T20Is in England, however, he didn’t bowl in West Indies as the matches were abandoned due to rain.

Nawaz, who played his last international match in April against Zimbabwe, was benched all six limited-overs games against England and also missed the only T20I Pakistan played against West Indies.
