Hasan Ali bowled an exceptional spell against Sri Lanka in the third ODI where he took 5/34 which led him to become fastest Pakistani bowler to take 50 ODI wickets.
Earlier, Waqar Younis held the record of being the fastest Pakistani to reach 50 ODI wickets, which he achieved in 27 games.
Whereas, Hasan Ali reached the milestone in just 24 games, which is three matches quicker than the great Bhurewala Express.
He dedicated his feat to the legendary Pakistani pacer.

Waqar Younis played 262 matches for Pakistan, where he struck 416 times for his team.
Hasan Ali is joint-third fastest to take fifty wickets along with the great Aussie pacer, Denis Lillee. Ajantha Mendis holds the record for being the fastest to reach the milestone with 19 games, whereas India’s Ajit Agarkar and New Zealand’s Mitchell McCleneghan are second on the list as they reached there in 23 games.
Saqlain Mushtaq, who took 28 games to achieve the feat, is the third fastest Pakistani to take 50 scalps in 50-over cricket.
Hasan Ali has been phenomenal since he made his international debut for Pakistan, he was the highest wicket-taker in Champions Trophy that led Pakistan to win the tournament for the first time.
He is the highest wicket-taker so far in 2017.
Hasan Ali has taken 51 wickets in 24 games with three five-wicket hauls against his name.
