The new bowling sensation of Pakistan Hasan Ali, who’s currently playing for Comilla Victorians in the Bangladesh Premier League produced sensational match figures of 5/20.
23-years-old became only the second bowler in T20 history to achieve this record.
Hasan ranked as the No.1 ODI bowler in the ICC rankings, he continues to dwell with fantastic performances.
A fantastic spell from Hasan Ali bowled out Dhaka Dynamites for just 128.
The 23-year-old pacer struck with his very first ball of the match to send back Evin Lewis, before Mehedi Maruf departed one ball later, without troubling the scorers. Narine, who had kicked off proceedings with a boundary and a six in the opening over, spoilt Hasan’s figures by piling on 14 in his next over to take his team to a respectable 49 for 2 at the end of the powerplay overs.
Later on in the game, he was brought back into the attack by his skipper Tamim Iqbal. Hasan Ali responded well yet again and rattled the stumps of Mosaddek Hossain.
In his final over of the game, he repeated his heroics of the first over that he had bowled in the match and took two wickets in three deliveries.
He dismissed Saddam Hossain on the first ball of the penultimate over and then rattled the woodwork of Abu Hider Rony with a toe-crushing yorker on the third delivery of the match.
His efforts helped the Victorians to restrict the Dynamites to 128 in the match. The Victorians went on to win the match by 4 wickets.
Hasan Ali was deservingly awarded the Man of the Match for his fabulous bowling.
