Pakistan U19 head coach Ijaz Ahmed feels that his side can beat India, the defending champions in the upcoming ICC U19 World Cup beginning in South Africa on January 17.
Former batsman while talking to Indian news channel stated India has a great cricketing system but they can easily beat arch-rivals if they face each other in the mega event.
“We all know, India has a very great and organized system but when it comes to passion, we have more than them and we saw in the semi-final of ACC Emerging Cup when we defeated them,” He said.
The 51-year-old said that no one is favorite in Pak- India match and the team who plays well on the given day will win.
“It doesn’t matter if the team is defending champion or number one. The team who perform well on a given day will win and I am sure because of the balance we have, we can defeat them,” He added.
“Despite India have played a four-nation tournamnet with South Africa, New Zealand and Zimbabwe in South Africa before the World Cup, they would not get the advantage,” Ijaz concluded.
It must be noted that Pakistan U19 has departed to participate in the competition today and they will start their campaign on January 19th against Scotland.
