Pakistan’s disastrous defeat against India in their ICC Champions Trophy opener does not seem like leaving it’s affects early as one of the members of the losing side went all-emotional to apologise to the fans.

Wahab Riaz, who went for 87 runs in his 10 overs against the arch-rivals, posted an apology on his Twitter account on Wednesday, saying his performance in the match ‘let down my nation and the team’.

Wahab did not only perform poorly against India in the 124-run defeat —  the 31-year-old was also dropped from the Pakistan squad due to injury on Tuesday.

Pakistan take on South Africa in their must-win clash at Edgbaston on Wednesday before they fly to Cardiff to play Sri Lanka on June 12.
