ANTWERP: Pakistan drew 2-2 against India in their crucial match of the Hockey World League in Antwerp on Friday, ARY Sports.tv reports.
Pakistan captain Mohammad Imran netted the ball into the goal twice and India’s Ramandeep Singh also scored twice in the high-voltage match.
India drew first-blood in the match as Ramandeep deflected the ball into the goal post home in the 13th minute. Pakistan equaled the score line after Mohammad Imran capitalized on the penalty stroke chance.
Pakistan took the lead as Imran found the net again with a penalty corner which hit the back of the net like a missile.
However, India equalized as Ramandeep scored his second goal of the match and the arch rivals went into half-time at 2-2.
The scoreline remained the same till the final buzzer.
Pakistan is placed third on Pool A standings with four points while India is on second place with seven points.
The green shirts will play against France on Sunday and will be eyeing three points to confirm their place in the quarter final stage.
