Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Zaidi hopes that Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is aware of Fawad Alam’s case.
While talking to the media during his visit to National Stadium Karachi on Day 3 of the second Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Zaidi highlighted that Fawad is a good player and deserves a chance in the national team.
“Fawad completely deserves a chance in the team. I hope Fawad Alam’s case has pulled PM Imran Khan’s attention,” he said.
To a query about ignoring Karachi players, Zaidi said that the city has produced World Class players and hopes that the cricketers from the metropolis will take place in the national team.
“I am sure Karachi has talented players who will be representing the country in the near future,” he added.
Talking about Test cricket’s return, Zaidi said that the revival of international cricket will pave the way for cricketers to gain confidence.
“It is great to see teams coming to Pakistan. The revival of international cricket will help young talent come up strongly,
“I think other teams should also come to this cricket-loving nation. People here love cricket and know how to cheer the game. Here are no security concerns,” he concluded.
