The Magician, Saeed Ajmal is still positive about making a comeback in Pakistan’s national team and urges that he deserves another go at the international level.

Talking to PakPassion, Saeed Ajmal said that he is ready to represent Pakistan, “I am very much ready to play for Pakistan.”

He also revealed that he will be playing the National T20 Cup, which is scheduled to kick off from August 25. He is still confident of his abilities and cited that he bowled pretty well in the last county season he played.

“I bowled well in my last county cricket stint in both the One Day and Twenty20 format and I am feeling more confident now after a period of time where I couldn’t play much cricket,” he added.

Ajmal stated that he could not play for Faisalabad or ZTBL because his teams played at the level 2, he also told that he was out of action for around two months before Pakistan Cup.

“I also fractured my hand during the Pakistan Super League when I tried to stop a shot played by Sharjeel Khan. I was out of action for almost two months before I played in the Pakistan Cup and still want to play for Pakistan but I need to be given a chance.”

Ajmal expressed his frustration a bit by saying that he should not have to prove himself again to get into the team, ”I shouldn’t have to take another two hundred First-Class wickets to prove myself again; I need to be played based upon my current skills.”
