Pakistan’s Former cricket captain Wasim Akram says “My top priority is Pakistan, for which I am ready to give up everything.”
While speaking to media at Gaddafi stadium Lahore he said that the beginning of Pakistan Super league (PSL) will have positive effects on the national players, especially the youngsters. He said comparing it with the Indian Priemer League( IPL) at this stage is too early. IPL has been there for almost 8 years. We are hopeful that as we move forward we will find some great cricketers joining in, even now we have some great players like Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga who have shown interest.
Former captain said although he has made an agreement with Masters Cricket League at UAE but PSL would be his priority. “It is indeed an honour for me to be appointed as the brand ambassador of the PSL, and I am ready to forego everything for Pakistan.” My objective is not to make money but to offer my services to the nation, my top priority is to be of help to Pakistan, added Wasim Akram.
It should be noted that PCB has appointed former cricketers Rameez Raja and Wasim Akram as PSL’s Brand Ambassador and announced the series to be played next year in Doha in which many foreign cricketers are expected to join.
