‘I feel safe here’ says foreign Spidercam operator on his visit to Karachi for PSL

Thomas Sterner, a foreign Spidercam operator, called Karachi a safe place where all kind of sporting events can take place easily.

Sterner, who is a part of the production company which is to telecast the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) Pakistan leg in Karachi, while talking to the ARY News said that there are no security problems in Karachi and he is looking forward to a successful stint of the league.

“To be honest I feel safe here and everything is alright,” he said.

Sterner said that they have overviewed the stadium and will start the installation of equipment including cameras soon. “We have seen the places in the stadium from where we can deliver best possible streaming of the matches,” he said.

The foreigner rated the PSL as one of the most followed leagues around the world and hopes that the best team will lift the title on March 17.

“May the best team lift the title but I must say the quality of cricket here is amazing,” said Sterner.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan leg of the PSL will commence from March 9 with Lahore Qalandars taking on Islamabad United at National Stadium Karachi. Total eight matches including the final will take place in Karachi after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shifted three matches from Lahore to Karachi due to logistical and operational issues.
