‘I got just a single paper to take charge of PFF’ Ashfaq Hussain Shah

The newly appointed president of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Ashfaq Hussain Shah said that he got just one paper to resume the football office.

Shah while talking to the media on Saturday said that he received no official documents as the new president of the PFF.

“I got no document or formal agreement for taking charge of the only football house of Pakistan,” he said.

Shah alleged that Faisal Saleh Hayat and his men are responsible for the worst condition of the PFF. He said that they resumed the office in a nasty condition.

“The condition of the football house is worst and a lot of work needs to be done for its betterment,” he said.

According to Shah, staging the Pakistan Premier League (PPL) was difficult enough for them as the last federation tried to cause plenty of problems.

“Despite the uncertainty, we had worked day in and day out for its success,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Karachi will host the final of the PPL on Sunday (January 13).

Shah is looking forward to work tirelessly for uplifting the status of football in Pakistan. He was quick to add that the youngsters in the country need a solid foundation to showcase their talent.

“It is important for us to mend the football infrastructure in the country,” he said.

Shah further said that there is no accountability of the last federation as the funds of $530,000 were not utilized for putting football on the right track.
