Karachi: Indian pacer Mohammad Shami revealed that he thought of committing suicide thrice due to professional and personal tensions.

While talking to another Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma during Instagram live, Shami said that after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, a bad patch came to his life.

“When I got injured in the 2015 World cup, after that it took me 18 months to fully recover, that was the most painful moment in my life, it was a very stressful period. When I started playing again, I had to go through some personal issues, I think if my family did not support me I would not have made it, I also thought of committing suicide three times,” said Shami.

It must be noted here that Shami represented India in 49 Tests, 77 ODIs, and 11 T20Is. Shami was last seen in action during the two-match Test series against New Zealand.
