The right-handed batswoman of Pakistan Javeria Khan wishes to meet South African cricketer AB De Villiers during his visit to Lahore in the upcoming fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) scheduled to take place from February 14 to March 17.
Javeria while talking to ARY Sports at National Stadium Karachi said that De Villiers is one of the most stylish batsmen the world of cricket has ever seen and meeting him will surely give her the memorable moment of life.
“As a batswoman, I admire De Villiers and I really wish to meet and get some tips from him if i get a chance during his visit to Lahore,” she said.
Javeria said that all the teams are strong enough for the PSL 4 and the cricket fans in Pakistan will witness one more successful episode of the only cricketing league of the country.
“All teams are of Pakistan and I am looking forward to watching competitive cricket,” she said.
Javeria, who served as team captain in the absence of regular captain Bismah Maroof, said that the team is in good knick and getting prepared strongly for their upcoming series against West Indies.
“Obviously, Bismah’s presence is important for the team being a senior player and as well as a captain,” said Javeria who is hoping for his team to put a strong show against the women in Maroon.
To a question regarding the importance of fitness in the team, Javeria said that fitness gives the player a proper shape to perform well and it has now become the basic need of an athlete.
“The team management and also the players are working hard to meet the set fitness targets,” she said.
It merits mentioning here that Pakistan will play their first T20I off three-match series against West Indies on January 31 followed by three-match ODI series.
