The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced match officials for the Pak-SL Test series, scheduled from December 11 to 23 in Pakistan.
Zimbabwe’s Andy Pycroft will serve as the match referee in the first historic Test at Rawalpindi from December 11 to 15 while Michael Gough and Richard Kettleborough will be the on-field umpires. Richard Illingworth and Shozab Raza are appointed as third and fourth umpires respectively.
Jeff Crowe will lead the officials’ team as the referee in Karachi where the second and last Test of the series is scheduled from December 19 to 23. On-field umpires will be Bruce Oxenford and Joel Wilson while Gregory Brathwaite will be the TV umpire and Ahsan Raza is appointed as the fourth umpire.
It must be noted here that the upcoming Pak vs SL two-match Test series will mark the return of international red-ball cricket to Pakistan after a gap of almost 10 years. The international cricket has been reviving in the country after tireless efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
