ICC pitch consultant arrives in Pakistan for preparation of standard pitches

English curator and International Cricket Council (ICC) pitch consultant Andy Atkinson has arrived in Pakistan to review and prepare standard pitches for better and competitive cricket on Pakistan stadiums.

Andy visited and saw the pitches at the National Stadium today. He will also visit the stadiums of Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan. Andy will also supervise a workshop at each venue and lectures will be delivered to ground staff.

The British Curator will review the pitches and will send the report to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). In light of the report, standard and supporting wickets will be produced.

Pitches will be developed in the country which will not make it difficult for the players playing in the overseas conditions.

It should be noted that the matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) which is scheduled from February 20 to March 22 will be held on these pitches.
