A Twenty20 tournament with a major twist begins in Switzerland on Thursday where cricket legends including Shahid Afridi, Virender Sehwag, Shoaib Akhter, Mike Hussey, Mahela Jayawardene and Jacque Kallis played the first match on an ice field.

The tournament first match is being played on a frozen, snow-covered lake on an artificial turf carpet, with players using traditional cricket gear and a red ball, but wearing normal sports shoes rather than spikes.

Royals have won by six wickets. Owais Shah once again slapped a six off the first ball of the over. It’s all over for Diamonds. Sensational batting by Shah in the last five to ten minutes.

The Diamonds, batting first, gave a target of 165 for the loss of nine wickets to Royals.
