Pakistan’s emerging allrounder, Imad Wasim has grabbed the second position in ICC rankings for T20I bowlers, with just South Africa’s leg-spinner Imran Tahir above him.
Pakistan thrashed the World T20 Champions, West Indies in their backyard by 3-1 in a four-match series, however, his performance was not that significant in the series.
Whereas, he had a brilliant season with the ball where he took 23 wickets in just 19 games at a low economy rate of merely 5.83, which helped him jump up in the ranking.
India’s right-arm pacer, Jasprit Bumrah is ranked at third position.
Imad is only Pakistani cricketer at a distinct position in ICC T20 ranking. None of Pakistan’s batsmen is in the top 20 ranking. The top ranked Pakistani batsman is Babar Azam at 27th position.
Whereas, Mohammad Hafeez is at 14th spot in allrounders ranking, Bangladesh’s star allrounder, Shakib Al Hasan is the number one allrounder in shortest format of the game.
