Pakistan skipper, Sarfraz Ahmed believes Imran Khan becoming the Prime Minister of the country will not only benefit cricket, but other sports as well.
Imran Khan has been against departmental cricket during his playing days and suggested a county-like-structure for Pakistan’s domestic circuit.
“Imran Khan becoming the Prime Minister of Pakistan will be beneficial not only for cricket, but also for other sports,” said Sarfraz Ahmed.
“I request Imran Khan to not end department cricket after becoming Prime Minister,” he added.
Moreover, Sarfraz Ahmed talked about the upcoming Asia Cup and suggested all the teams competing in the tournament are strong.
“All the teams participating in the Asia Cup are competitive,” he told. “The competitions during the tournament will be exciting,” he went on to say.
“We are playing well at the moment, but Indian team also has experienced cricketers,” he said about the Indo-Pak clash of Asia Cup on September 21st.
The Champions Trophy-winning captain is happy to see club cricket flourishing in the country and accredited Pakistan Cricket Board for promoting it all around in Pakistan.
“The revival of club cricket is a very good thing,” he told. “PCB has played a vital role in reviving club cricket all around the country,” he further said.
