PM Imran Khan praises World Cup winner for England

Pakistan’s former cricketer and current Prime Minister Imran Khan hailed England’s cricketer Ben Stokes for his tremendous intentions on the cricket field.

Khan, in an interview with CNBC, when asked about Stokes who recently led England to World Cup triumph, said: “I must confess I [have] hardly seen cricket. Because of the sort of issues I face I really haven’t watched cricket, “He is clearly a great cricketer,” PM Khan said.

It must be noted here that Stokes is a powerful all-rounder who recently got the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award. The left-handed explosive batsman had also won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for the ICC player of the year a few days ago for leading England to World Cup victory and one-wicket triumph in the Leeds Test during the Ashes in 2019.
