Imran Khan vows to put sports in Pakistan back on track

Former cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan believes that people at the helm of sports’ affairs in the country, who put their own interest first, are the actual reason behind sports decline in the country.

Pakistan’s cricket prodigy, who led Pakistan to its most celebrated sports trophy – World Cup in 1992, Imran Khan now heads political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).

Imran Khan said Pakistan is blessed with most talented sportsmen in the world but unfortunately some people, who put ‘self-interest’ before ‘national interest’. have ruined the very infrastructure of sports in the country.

Imran pledged to introduce a balanced system, after coming in power. “Every Pakistani will feel proud when our sports will again flourish,” he said while addressing to the foundation ceremony of PTI Sports and Culture via video link.

Expressing determination to achieve his goals, Imran Khan said sportsman can triumph any competition and he will remain firm in the battle against corrupt system of the country.
