Imran Khan, making a comeback in Test cricket after two years, rattled Australia A with his powerful spell of 5-32 which helped Pakistan restrict the opponent to 122 in the first inning of a tour match at Perth Stadium.
In reply to Pakistan’s total of 428, Australia A failed completely in front of a potent bowling attack of the visitors. Apart from Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Iftikhar Ahmed bagged two wickets each while Yasir Shah took a wicket.
Earlier, while batting first, Pakistan got powerful support from their middle-order batsmen Asad Shafiq and Babar Azam after they lost three early wickets.
Asad (119) and Babar (157*) put 276 runs together on the scoreboard. Yasir Shah also played well and scored 53 runs off 70 balls.
Now, Pakistan are 313 runs ahead after they closed Day 2 at 7-0. Shan Masood (4*) and Azhar Ali (1*) will resume the inning for the tourists on the third and last day of the match.
