The two-time Commonwealth Games gold medalist Inam Butt once again made the country proud as he won another gold medal for Pakistan in the 90-kilogramme event of the World Beach Wrestling Championship in Turkey.
Inam defeated Georgian wrestler Irakli Mtsituri to in the final on Sunday.
Butt defeated grapplers from Norway and Portugal to qualify for the final of the event.
On his remarkable victory, Butt while talking to the media said, “Thank God I got the world title. I am very happy,”
Butt also requested Government to support the wrestlers in Gujranwala,
“I dedicate my title to those 100 children who train regularly in my dilapidated wrestling arena in Gujranwala and I request the government to establish a well-facilitated academy in Gujranwala so that wrestlers like me could be produced,” he added.
Mohammad Asad Butt is the other Pakistani wrestler who participated in World Beach Wrestling Championships.
Inam skipped the Asian Games which was held in Indonesia this year because of knee injury.
