There is uncertainty regarding the Indian team’s participation in the scheduled Asia Cup in Pakistan, but a final decision is likely to come in June.
According to Indian media, the BCCI has included the Asia Cup in this year’s events, but the prospects of sending the team to Pakistan over political tensions appear to be endless.
An important meeting of the BCCI will be held in connection with the Asia Cup in June this year, in which a final decision will be taken on whether or not to send the Pakistan team.
The hosting rights of the Asia Cup 2020 were given to Pakistan in December 2018 and the decision was endorsed at a meeting in October last year.
The Asia Cup was last held in Pakistan in 2008 and since the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team, no multi-country tournament has been held since then.
