‘India,Pakistan should play on regular basis’ – Younis Khan


Pakistan’s former Test batsman, Younis Khan wants India and Pakistan to play bilateral series at least once in every two or three years which would be good for both the countries.

Younis while briefing to the media in Baluchistan during a cricket camp said that people from both the countries are desperate to watch India and Pakistan playing full flash series.

“Every cricket enthusiast around the World want to see the clash between India and Pakistan,” Younis said.

He is also optimistic for Pakistan to beat India in their upcoming clash of the Asia Cup on September 19.

“I am hopeful that Pakistan will fight strongly against India in the Asia Cup and will find good results against the arch-rivals,” he said.

Former captain once again congratulated the new government asking them to do something fruitful for sports in the country.

He added that the things are quite tough for the government and it is impossible to bring change overnight.

“I am looking forward to the new government for taking some strict actions to take sports on the new heights,” 40-years-old said.

The T-20 World cup winning captain, on the other hand asked the PCB to further strengthen their domestic circuit to highlight new talent.

He said that there is immense talent in the country which need some solid platform to showcase their ability and for that PCB must have to work hard.

“This land has some extraordinary talent which is looking forward to get opportunities to grow in a proper way,” Younis stated.

Mardan born, Younis represented Pakistan in 118 Tests scoring 10099 runs at an average of 52.05.

He played 265 One day Internationals having 7249 runs in his account while made 442 runs in 23 T-20i’s.
