The future of the Pakistan-India series is going through a roller coaster ride as the tide turns one way or the other literally every single day.
In the latest development a meeting took place between the Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan’s PM Nawaz Sharif which was later followed by a meeting between the foreign ministers of both countries. It was expected that the Indo-Pak series will be one of the talking points of the series but unfortunately that was not the case.
PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan was extremely disappointed seeing the way things panned out and told reporters that even if the India grant approval for series in next couple of days we can still proceed with the series otherwise the tie is finished once and for all.
It should be noted that the Pakistan government and both the boards were convinced that the series should happen but it was the Indian government which is the only stumbling block right now as they seem reluctant to give the nod for the series.
