The PCB chairman Shaharyar khan along with Najam Sethi was supposed to meet Indian board’s new chairman Shashank Manohar today but Shiv Sena activists protested and made their way to the BCCI headquarters to disrupt the meeting. The two board officials were supposed to discuss the future of the series between Pakistan and India but as things stand the meeting has been called off. Reports said that India might have offered a triangular series with Pakistan and one other team rather than playing a bilateral series with their arch rivals.

It is extremely disappointing to see the fact that the Indian officials knew well in advance that the Pakistan top brass was supposed to come but the security was not tight enough to put a hold on such events. The board officials who are still in India will have to decide quickly about their next move as to weather they are going to stay there or not.

Talking to ARY news former cricketer Iqbal Qasim said that under the current circumstances the series looks difficult to take place but he wont say its impossible.

Former chairman Tauqir Zia was also quite disappointed and perturbed on these unfortunate turn of events.

The series will only take place if the Indian goverment approves the series which is yet to come. Looking at things right now the Indo-Pak series looks miles away !
