Karachi Kings’ vice-captain Colin Ingram believes that the bowling standard in the Pakistan Super League is one of the best among the T20 leagues in the world.
“One of the challenges of coming to PSL is definitely to bat here,” he said. “When you wake up in the morning you have to be sharp in your game because the bowling attacks here is probably the strongest in the world,” Karachi Kings’ star batsman said in a press conference at National Stadium Karachi.
Ingram also acknowledged that there’s a lot of left-arm seams which makes the league different than others and then every team has one or two really good spinners so it’s quite challenging to bat in PSL.
The 33-year old South African batsman expressed his satisfaction on the security arrangements in Karachi.
“I feel really relaxed being in here and really looking forward to playing some good cricket here.”
Ingram notched the highest individual score of HBL PSL history, he scored 127 off 59 balls against Quetta Gladiators.
Talking about the batting conditions in Karachi Kings, he said, “We have much-balanced batting line-up, we might haven’t quite nailed it but we’re just starting to find the momentum and good combination as different guys stand out in the games.”
Ingram spoke about the passion of cricket he observed so far in the country,
“Passion of cricket is immense in Pakistan I certainly enjoy the team’s environment and the way guys are excited about cricket, it is massively passionate.”
He further added that he really looks forward to scoring another century of the tournament in front of the amazing crowd of Karachi.
Karachi Kings will take on table-toppers Quetta Gladiators in an important game tomorrow at 7 pm, National Stadium Karachi.
